Good Grief - the things no one tells you about loss
Saturday August 8, 2026 2:00pm - 2:45pm BST
Loss is part of every human story, but we rarely talk about it. Whether it's the death of a loved one, the end of a friendship, family breakdown, disappointment, change, or simply life not turning out as expected, loss can leave us feeling confused, isolated and unsure of what comes next. In this honest and practical session, Dez Johnston explores what grief really looks like, how we learn to live through difficult seasons, and where hope can be found when life changes unexpectedly. Together we'll look at how to navigate loss ourselves and how to become the kind of friend who knows how to walk alongside others when they are hurting.

We're going on an Awe Walk!
Sunday August 9, 2026 3:15pm - 4:00pm BST
Take the chance to experience the awe and wonder of the world in a different way. Be in nature, slow down and connect with the forest. We’ll be heading for a guided walk through a wee grove on site, where we can notice and pay attention to the world around us - learning to slow down, calm and relax while we do it! The group size will need to be capped at 30 young people so arrive on time to secure your spot (We'll run a second session if there's lots who can't get into this session). And Youth leaders you're really welcome to join too.

Help! I stuggle with low mood
Monday August 10, 2026 3:15pm - 4:00pm BST
Whether we call it feel low, depression, sadness, or melancholy - we all feel it from time to time.
But when it lingers, sticks or begins to weigh us down what can we do? What’s the difference? And what do we need to watch for?

This session will explore what we can do when we feel low, how we can help others (or get help from others) and how philosophers and mystics have wrestled with the question: What can we do with low mood?
